CatWorld is a colony-management game about building and operating your own cat sanctuary.

Design buildings, prepare specialized rooms, rescue cats, manage their health and happiness, hire staff, and make difficult financial and organizational decisions as your sanctuary grows.

Build your sanctuary

Plan buildings, outdoor enclosures, fences, gates, interior walls, and specialized rooms. Your builders physically travel to construction projects and complete each part of the job.

Create and furnish:

• Admission and quarantine rooms
• Resident cat rooms
• Reception areas
• Staff break rooms and lodging
• Food, water, litter, and medical-care facilities
• Secure outdoor spaces

Rooms only become operational after their construction, furniture, and capacity requirements are satisfied.

Care for individual cats

Every cat has its own needs and condition, including hunger, hydration, stress, health, quarantine status, and infectious disease.

Rescue new arrivals, provide suitable rooms, keep supplies stocked, hire caretakers, and employ veterinarians to diagnose and treat illness. Once cats are ready, they can be placed for adoption.

Choose how to operate

Remain independent, apply for nonprofit status, or become a for-profit sanctuary.

Each path affects funding, fees, taxes, grants, subsidies, and the decisions available to you. Nonprofit sanctuaries may receive public support but must answer to council decisions, while for-profit sanctuaries receive greater control over visitor and adoption fees.

CatWorld is currently in early alpha. Version 0.1.0-alpha.1 represents the first public playable milestone.
